Bertillon and Anthropometry

Alphonse Bertillon is a bio metrics researcher, who used anthropological technique to enforce creating an identification system based on measurements. Anthropometry was the first scientific system used by the police and criminals. Bertillonage is a way for the identification of criminals using anthropometric measurements.
I think that this method can still be used today, but now there are way more advanced equipment that can identify criminals easier and faster. I think it could be used if they didn't have those kinds of technology and if they were in a different environment.
